Multi-colored sandstone mountains of Zhangye Danxia is a unique rocky formation in the southeast of China, recognized by Chinese National Geography in 2009 as one of the six most picturesque landscape formations in the world. This geological phenomenon of Zhangye Danxia is the result of sandstone deposits and other minerals for 24 million years,  formed an amazing miracle of nature which resembles a multicolored layer cake. Some people believe that God overturned his palette and out-of-a-fairy-tail Zhangye Danxia Landform appeared.
